Jacob Cole is a California based independent artist, guitarist, singer/songwriter and teacher. Previously fronting Saint Anne's Place, and now current guitarist for Dante Elephante, whose most recent album (Mid-Century Modern Romance) is out now on Born Losers Records.
Making waves along the west coast in various small towns and dives as a talented young guitar player, Cole backed other artists for years touring extensively throughout the states and internationally. Playing everywhere from Dublin Ireland to LA's Troubadour.
Under his own name he has graced the stage opening for artists such as; Little Wings, Gardens & Villa, Sego, David Dondero, Wild Moccasins, Jamie Drake, Scott Hirsch of Hiss Golden Messenger, William Tyler, Sun Kil Moon and Tom Brosseau. Steadily building up a loyal following and carving out a reputation as a confessional but accessible songwriter.
Influenced by an eclectic mix of 60's AM radio, choice hits of the 80's, and the stories he grew up with, Jacob and his band incorporate it all but update the sound for today. Playing songs of Heartbreak and loneliness, his sound is like a warm blanket on a cold night.
Cole continues to come into his own as a solo artist with a DIY spirit, grabbing attention anywhere he graces with his blend of hungry visceral energy, and easy listening mood setting. Each performance is a unique expression of his many different sides. Unpredictable and honest to the moment.
Currently he is at work recording a new album with plans for a spring 2022 release. His newest single "Hummingbird" is out now.
